Local SoFlo Spotlight: The Wynwood Shop

Continuing my journey to find the best local South Florida boutiques and shops for all things fashion and accessories, I stumbled upon a gem in Wynwood. This district in Miami is easily walkable and a must-see if you’re traveling to Miami or new to the area. This area is the epitome for all things #artsy. It is home to brilliant creators, artists and some of the best wall murals you will see. There are plenty of bars, restaurants and stylish boutiques at every corner! You can definitely spend a couple hours here exploring and can expect live music, rooftops and outdoor bars at almost all hours.

It’s no surprise that the Wynwood Shop fits right in to this district. Amongst entering you will find an array of locally painted works of wall art ranging in price and the cutest accessories from sunglasses to earrings to bracelets, anklets, purses, rings and now masks!

What I love most about the Wynwood Shop, is the items they sell are hand picked from local street artists and emerging brands in the area. So they are rooted in promoting and serving their local community in a big way! Each item is tagged with the local artist contact information and social media handles so you know exactly who created the piece and where you can find more of their creations!

When I walked in I noticed the layout seemed different to me and I asked if they had changed locations (I hadn’t been in a while). They told me due to COVID-19 they had to relocate and downsize their brick and mortar. It is tragic what is happening to local and small businesses and I wanted to show support in anyway I could. I ended up buying an anklet and sunglasses shown below and I will definitely go back for more!
